My new housemate and I signed the tenancy agreement on our new house today, and it's empty and ready for us to move in. Which means I'm actually going to have to start packing now! Hopefully I'll be all moved in within a couple of weeks, although the first job is to re-paint my bedroom. The two rooms on my floor of the house are baby blue and pink, so there's no prizes for guessing that the family who lived there before had a son and daughter. And I can certainly live without the choo choo motif in the wallpaper in my room.
These pictures aren't great and I haven't worked out how to post them here in a pretty way, but you should get the picture. The house is a kind of upside down house, so you walk into the ground floor where there is the bathroom and Amanda's bedroom. Then you go upstairs to my bedroom and the spare room and downstairs to the living room/dining room and kitchen. That's my room at the very top, and the spare room is going to be Hutch the degu's room/study. I hope he doesn't mind the pink. That room has a lovely bay window in it, I can already see myself lounging there reading my books.
My room is great, I think I got the best deal out of it all, apart from the powder blue colour. It has a huge walk in wardrobe and it has the tv aerial in it.
Downstairs you have the living room/dining room but I haven't got any good pictures of that at the moment. Then you go through to the kitchen, which is pretty small, but big enough to boil a kettle in so it's good enough for me! Then you go out to the back garden, which I really like. Just a nice simple lawn which will be easy to mow and a few plants around the outside.
All in all, I'm pretty pleased. :D Everyone's invited round for a housewarming as soon as we've moved in.

Anyway, here are the first set of photos if anyone is interested. Isn't it exciting? And I get to live with cats again. Wheeeee!

it's quirky, I LIKE it!!! Can't wait to come and visit.
Bet you're relieved eh?

As for your 'new' programme, don't you mean 'vintage' programme!? Yes, I'm up for that. Could I come and stay when I do the next St. Nics event?
I couldn't sleep last night. I looked up job opportunities on the UCL website. The usual new student admin assistant thingy is up for grabs, and I got that feeling you get when you know the inevitable is going to happen... My life might just be about to get intersting too!

You're feeling the stirrings of destiny again, are you? It's always interesting to see where those thing lead you.
Good luck with the packing - yuk job - and the move.
*when I say city, I mean a slightly bigger town that just happens to have a cathedral. I don't exactly live in a sprawling metropolis.
It is purrfect having cats around, unless they start using your bedroom as a playground at some ungodly hour in the morning. :) Could have cheerfully strangled our two this morning.
